Year 2 classes were lucky to meet the author ' Liz Sellar' who Launched her 1st book "Into the Wild"

Yesterday Liz came to our school and read the book to all the Year 2 students in our School Library.

Beach Education

Wow! we had such an awesome trip to Long Bay beach. I personally would like to Thank all my wonderful parents for the help and engagement on the day and making sure the students were safe and had fun. I can't imagine me doing this all by myself- A big thank for making my day so easy. 

Chicken Life cycle

Last week, Mrs. Johns and Dracy talked to us about the life cycle of a chicken. Mrs. Johns got a chick and its adopted mum to show it to Room 12. They spoke about the different stages of the chicken. Most students in Room 12 felt confident to touch the chick. We learnt some new words like adopted, incubator, clucky, wattle.

Last Green week of the year

Our Theme for Green Week  We look after animals and insects - by creating habitats for them and not harming helpful insects.

We talked about some bugs and insects we could find at our school and how to care for them. Then we went out with our magnifying glass to look for them.

Welcome Back

Term 4 Week 1

I am sure you all had an amazing time with your children. Welcome back to yet another exciting and busy term.

Our Schoolwide Focus:

 We have been focusing on being SunSmart. 

  Things to remember: A healthy lunch, drink bottle,  a hat,  sunscreen.

On Tuesday we had the international artist ( from India) come to our school to show their dancing skills. They performed at Aotea square and in Wellington as part of the Diwali celebration. Some teachers went on the stage to learn some cool dance moves.

Term 3 Green Day Clean Up

On Friday we had decided to clean up the Junior playground and Sandpit area. We were in 5 groups and were working in different areas.
