Daniel Faitaua is a graduate of the NZ Broadcasting School and the University of Canterbury. He’s a familiar face on TV as the newsreader for TVNZ Breakfast and 1News Midday.

Room 12's Hello

Ms. Hand was a teacher at Owairaka school and is now teaching at 'YCIS School' in Hongkong.  We have watched students from her class 1 HY  introduce themselves, so we got inspired and send our introduction to them. We hope they like it. 

 

Week 8

On Friday we celebrated Race Relations Day.

We had a Musical story from Janina and then we made our own musical instruments with recycled material. 

Crazy Hair Day

Thank you, families, for supporting Mrs. Mudgway and her team ' Shave for Cure'. We raised over $600. 

We enjoyed looking at different hairstyles.

Room 12's Stew Preperation

In week 5 our shared reading book was about 'The Giant's Stew'.

Students in Room 12 got inspired and asked if we could make the yummy stew in the class. They thought about the ingredients that we could put in our stew.

2018 T1 Green Week / Sea Week

We have been very lucky to experience such a wide range of experience by doing various activities during Green / Blue Week.
We got to meet the Ocean Explorer Steve. He spoke to us about many interesting facts about the sea creatures and how we need to look after them.
