Matariki celebration at Owairaka school
Matariki celebration in Room 12
In Room 12 we have been listening to stories, singing songs and learning numbers in Te Reo. We made a class cloak, every child had a chance to colour and paint a feather of their choice. On Thursday we had Matariki breakfast. The class made pikelets.

Our School Assembly was fantastic. Thank you Rooms 16 and 17 for hosting the Assembly.

Term 2 Week 7 Events
Miss Weiss is a Grad student from Auckland college of education. She will be with us for 5 weeks for her 2nd Practicum. and this is the 3rd week. Miss Weiss will be in full control of the class under my supervision from this Thursday until end of next week ( week 8). The students love her teaching and are benefitting having two adult teachers to help them with their learning.
Miss Weiss doing calendar maths to improve students number and basic facts knowledge.
Our Last Monday's guest Tahu's puppy Mercedez, Thank Alice for bringing Mercedez ( Fox terrier) to share with our class. Room 12 had a turn to pat the puppy. |
