Book Week 

Be prepared to celebrate Book Week. Come dressed up as a book character on Friday 30th August.
We have different activities happening this week.

Maths Week in Room 12

Cook Island language week celebration

Thank you to whāea Hamida and whāea Hailey who came to our year 2 classes to share the Cook Island Culture.

We read a shared book on making bread. The class decided to make Rotis we loved cooking and eating it.

T3 week 2 Taekwondo, Ball skills and Green week

Our Taekwondo sessions have started. We have 9 sessions altogether.

Y2 PE is on Wednesday at 2pm. The skills we are learning are throwing, catching, dribbling and passing.

Green week: we talked about New Zealand native birds and how to protect them.

Mrs. Best showed us some models of NZ native birds. We looked at their pointy beak, sharp claws and talked about where we can find them and what they eat.

Green Week Assembly

Room 12 winners for travel wise and wrapper free lunch box were Oscar and Manny.  The class also got a library book for most children bringing their Holiday Reading log. Well done Room 12.
