Term 4 Week 1

Welcome back , we had a busy 1st week of learning and fun. We also welcome Miss Austin who is a 'student teacher'  in Room 12. She will be with us for 5 weeks.
On Monday we had a on off 'Kiwi Tag' session. It was fun and students were 100% engaged.

We had a lovely visitor to our class, Thank you Jane for bringing Ankie the Labrador puppy. She is training to be a 'Guide dog'.

We had a shake out drill on Thursday
  • DROP down on your hands and knees. This protects you from falling but lets you move if you need to, protects your vital organs and makes you a smaller target for falling and flying objects.
  • COVER your head and neck (or your entire body if possible) under a sturdy table or desk (if it is within a few steps of you).
  • HOLD on to your shelter (or your position to protect your head and neck) until the shaking stops. If the shaking shifts your shelter around, move with it.
