Term 1 Week 8

A big Thank you to Karl who has not only provided us with wood offcuts but has also volunteered to help and assist students to create wooden models. He also talked to the students about tool safety.

Cultural unity week

We had a special celebration last week. On Tuesday we had Natasha ( Finlay's mum) who taught us greetings, counting and an action song in the German language

On Thursday  Enas ( Rahman's mum) taught us Arabic numbers.

Our Cultural unity celebration was a great success. The Kai was amazing.

Term 1 Week 6

Our last swimming sessions on water safety skills using life jackets.
 

Next week we will be swimming on Thursday at 2:10 pm

Sea week:    

We looked at different sea birds during the week and integrated with writing and shared reading. We finally made some posters to communicate our message on how to keep the sea birds safe.  Our message is to ' Keep the Beach litter free' by picking up rubbish even if it is not yours.

Term 1 Week 5

We had awesome swimming sessions last week with our wonderful coaches. They focussed on teaching our students how to be safe in the water. Some of the skills taught so far included sculling, floating and to raise a hand for help.
We have one more week of swimming. Please send your child/children with their togs.

Maths learning in Room 12

Maths learning includes teacher group, collaborative work, individual math and group maths games 

Last week Room 12 had to guess what was in the parcel...that was delivered they were pleased to find a game for the class.

Week 4 updates and Reminders

Swimming sessions with our coaches for the next 2 weeks

We are swimming every day, please remind your child/children to bring their togs to school. If your child is unwell please send a note or else they will be provided with the togs we have at our school.

Tyson and Oscar have been very patient and persistent. They had a vision of building a funny city with a tall tower. It took them 2 weeks to complete it. 

Room 12 would like to welcome Charlie. He had an awesome day on Friday.
